Woffington Close

This development of 52 one- and two-bedroom properties opened in the late 1960’s. Glenmore 19 Upper Teddington Road had a large garden running down to the railway line and many planning applications were submitted to redevelop but it was not granted until the land of the next door property had been added.

Woffington Close was named after Peg Woffington a mid-18th century Irish actress who came to live in Teddington towards the end of her life.
